RED HILLS QUAIL FOREVER
A Bit of Background
Here at Red Hills Quail Forever, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2017, we have been determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to improve local public land quail habitat and to engage the areas youth and new hunters. The funds raised are invested 100% locally, on habitat projects and youth shooting.

HABITAT PROJECTS
Improving Public Land Quail Habitat
In 2020 our Chapter funded two major projects at River Creek WMA in Thomas County, Georgia. The first project was an herbicide treatment that consisted of spraying several hundred acres of that had palmettos, gall berries, and hardwoods displacing the native grasses and plants. Upon review of the sprayed area the biologists were thrilled with the resurgence of the native grasses. The second project was an equipment purchase to help control the feral hog population that has recently exploded. The feral hogs are destroying the food plots and natural habitat of the WMA. Once the numbers are under control the trap will be used at other WMA’s in the area.
